Title: Quake 4
Developer: id Software
About the Game
In order for the fourth post in a series of Quake immediately follows the end of the second part and, unlike its predecessor, focuses more on the single-player part of the game.
In the universe of raging war between humans and Strogg. Stroggs are alien race, their behavior most similar to the Borg from Star Trek. Their goal is to conquer and assimilate other races in other Strogg. The fight seems hopeless, but at the moment a kind of marine planetary defenses to destroy both enemies and kill the Strogg leader MAKRON (end Quake II), people will once again unite and prepare for a direct assault on the planet - Stroggos. Right now we find ourselves in the shoes of marine Matthew Kane, a member of Rhino Squad Unit, who with his brothers in arms finds itself in orbit Stroggos. After a while but not long ship missile hit and they all go down. Players are tasked directly and most importantly - to find survivors and try to destroy the Strogg once and for all. To do this, it needs to destroy the Nexus, a system that connects mind Strogg together.
Gameplay is a classic shooter, where most of their time moving around, but it will also control a tank in which you look at the inhospitable surface Stroggos. Regarding weapons, expect the typical Quake offer (nailgun, rail gun, lightning gun). Just BFG was replaced by Dark Matter Gun. Quake 4 uses the id Tech 4 engine, already used in Doom 3, therefore this game graphically intensive and hardware very similar except that the Quake offers brighter spots and outdoor spaces. Multiplayer compared to last part very limited and only offers modes Deathmatch and Capture the Flag.
