About the Game
After Garrett in the first part he defused demigod Trickster and thus rid the city of fear and inhumane taxes, after two years of peace appears another threat that he faced. That is Truart Sheriff Gorman, who in introducing new orders in the form of stricter patrols, closed several disreputable businesses, the disappearance of a few individuals without a trace from the ranks of beggars and sick, and in addition decided to harshly punish anyone that defies any strict order. The main hero now has his difficulties taking the situation all the more that Sheriff covets his life and he is therefore no other option than to try to stay alive and find out what's behind it.
This is a continuation of the cult classic stealth action genre. Renowned thief Garrett is back again, moving in the dark corners where moonlight and streetlights reach. Respects the rules while not to be seen, heard, trapped, not leave behind any traces and in the case of last resort simply to flee, as it is indeed in the world of thieves walk. Its aim, therefore, is in addition to burglary and theft of property, usurping and important documents, perform different tasks, whether it's watching a person's eavesdropping and the like. This has in its inventory a variety of subjects to facilitate these activities. Around guard patrols can sneak or stun his baton, rattle their paces muted moss arrow, mechanical robots exclude arrow fire, stunning body guards hiding in obscure corners of the room, the doors lock picks to pry the fight and draw your bow or sword. Attention has yet to give of themselves, to failure to heal wounds healing potion or when jumping from great heights to use the potion on the slower fall.
The game runs on the revamped Dark Engine from one, contains a number of new effects, eg. Weather effects such as fog, rain or snow. The concept of individual fifteen large-scale missions is full of alternative routes where to go and how to fulfill them. Steampunk elements are more pronounced than in the past, the action was suppressed to an absolute minimum and Thief II focuses its attention on stealth and although it is still possible it (lighter difficulty) to kill, so the right call to play only gives up the difficulty Expert.
