About the Game

Tomb Raider is the ninth full-fledged part of the series with Lara Croft in the title role, although this time it is a complete reboot brand. The story is not in any way linked with the previous games, and changed the very gameplay and game mechanics that you take some inspiration from the Uncharted series.

The story itself is about a young Lara without a modicum of experience in the field of adventurer. In an effort to change their ordinary and uninteresting life, he went on a quest across the Pacific Ocean on the ship Endurance. But when she unexpectedly strong storm shipwrecked on a mysterious island near Japan and Lara, Captain Conrad Roth and several other survivors finds himself outside civilization on an uncharted island that holds many dangers.

In addition to the classical explore the area, overcoming obstacles and solving puzzles, put in this work the game mechanics greater emphasis on survival and character development. Lara is initially very weak and vulnerable, as over time it becomes a fearless adventurer. Will have to seek means of survival, including food, hone their skills and build up improvised weapons, healing items and so on. This time the game world is more open, without a predetermined path forward, although it is still largely a linear game.

For the first time in the series is the competitive multiplayer game included, not counting spin-off Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. He does not interfere with the story of the game and its development was in charge of the studio Eidos Montreal.
